Santa Fe - ‘Swimming’

If I had an Australian dollar for everytime I posted a great new band from Perth, I’d have a lot more money than you would have probably thought.

The latest lot are Santa Fe. Their new single ‘Swimming’ is a chilled out beach pop lovely. These guys sound like they had sunstroke when they set up to record this one.

Gunns - ‘Leaving Home’

I’ve spent the last 30 minutes scouring the internet for the best fuzzy beach track I could find (as usual) and hot dog! we have a weiner! Perth popsters Gunns.

'Leaving Home' is great whirly fuzzy catchy number that I can see being a permant fixture on my personal playlists for some moons to come. Lovely stuff.

'Leaving Home' and the more garagey B-side 'Even if the Sun Goes Down' (great too) feature on a recently released 7” which you can get at BANDCAMP now.

Braves - ‘Hallows’

'Hallows' is the closing track from new EP ' Sorrow' by Braves.

Braves are a perth-based surf-pop trio, and regular Fuzzbook readers will know Sean from the bands side-project Sunny.

'Hallows' is a great summertime shoegaze number, but the EP is packed with fuzz and dream pop too. Download 'Sorrow' for free (or pay what you want) from BANDCAMP now.

HAMJAM - ‘Love’

Seems like every month I am posting a new track from Perth, that being said meet the latest aussie garage-pop scamps HAMJAM.

'Love' blasts from beginning to end, its packed with attitude and definitely leaves the listener wanted another. Luckily HAMJAM have another 2 ace tracks on their SOUNDCLOUD page to sink your teeth into.

Fuzzbook is very excited about these guys. Very excited indeed.

'Love' and 'Fishing' can also be downloaded for free on BANDCAMP.

Sunny - ‘So Cool’

Perth Lo-fi beach pop duo Sunny have returned with a new track ‘So Cool’.

The aussie band had promised on their facebook page that when the weather in Perth hit 30 degrees they would we release a song from their upcoming EP. It did and they lived up to their promise and released ‘So Cool’. Originally this made us hate them as it’s 30 degrees over there and that’s not fair but then we heard the song and they were redeemed because its brilliant and it’s beachy poolside vibes kind of warmed us up a little bit.

The EP is due out early next year. ‘So Cool’ can be downloaded free from BANDCAMP now.

Mining Boom - ‘Craigie’

How about some garage-pop from down under? Yeah? Good. Ok, Perth/ Melbourne’s Mining Boom are your band.

'Craigie' is taken from the band's first tape 'Dining Room'. With top lyrics and brimming with attitude this is an impressive debut. Mining Boom have been getting a fair run on all the independent stations/blogs over in Australia, including high rotation on RRR, FBi, and Triple J. Lets catch up England.

The ‘Craigie’ and the equally-as-good A-side ‘PDA’ can be downloaded now from BANDCAMP.
