“I Follow You” by Melody’s Echo Chamber // (dir. Laurie Lassalle)
So far, we’ve heard two excellent songs from the forthcoming album from France’s Melody’s Echo Chamber. Now, we’ve got a video for a third (exclusive to Pitchfork.tv), titled “I Follow You”. This time around we’re not given such a full fledged space rock explosion as more of a sexy, mid tempo psych rocker. It’s all still a wonderful listen and continues to add good hopes that the full length (self titled and out on November 5 via Fat Possum). The new track sounds sorta like a mix between Tame Impala (Kevin Parker of that band produced this album) and The Sundays, with maybe a hint of Spiritualized tossed in (though not as apparent as previous singles). A great song and a solid video with an 90’s Alternative rock look.
