“Sleeping Ute” by Grizzly Bear // TBD (Out 9.18.12 on Warp)
Grizzly Bear have been in the studio working on the follow up to 2009’s brilliant Veckatimist and now we have a release date for the follow up and the first taste. The still unnamed album will drop on the 18th of September courtesy of Warp, and they’ve tossed the first track up on Youtube for your listening pleasure. It’s a darker and decidedly louder sound than you might be used to, but the Grizzly Bear harmonies and dynamic structures are all there in place (in fact, you might find it to be closer to Daniel Rossen’s recent EP, than full GB material). Suffice to say, it’s a hell of a track. Check it out and mark your calendar for the coming full length.
